thursday
i am known for my run-ins with the law. i have been cited for pretty much everything they have a law for. my all time ticket is for grid lock (if you see me, stop me and i will tell you a quick story about the grid lock ticket).
i was paying some bills downtown yesterday. driving from one place to the other, getting out of the vehicle, depositing the payment in the drop box, and heading on to the next location. when i dropped off my gas bill i saw the metermaid walking toward my truck. i was given no greeting only 'it is a $15 dollar ticket to leave your vehicle running with the keys in the ignition and unattended'. i smiled thinking that is the most ridiculous thing i had heard. she wasn't kidding. i was a little taken back by her statement that my only response was ' really? i have never heard of that before' and her response was 'yeah, so think about that next time'. no ticket....
so was it a bad day for her? it has to be! i am sure many of my tickets are given by cops with a chip on their shoulder. or that i am being setup by a friend. i always look for the hidden cam somewhere. always thinking 'is this for real?'.
people always tell me how they avoid getting tickets...teach me i want to learn!
tell me why you think one should get a $15 ticket for leaving your vehicle idling and unattended. or explain their reasoning for it!
i must say i am glad i didn't get the ticket...although the experience makes for a great conversation piece.
