ramblings...

thursday

i am known for my run-ins with the law. i have been cited for pretty much everything they have a law for. my all time ticket is for grid lock (if you see me, stop me and i will tell you a quick story about the grid lock ticket).

i was paying some bills downtown yesterday. driving from one place to the other, getting out of the vehicle, depositing the payment in the drop box, and heading on to the next location. when i dropped off my gas bill i saw the metermaid walking toward my truck. i was given no greeting only 'it is a $15 dollar ticket to leave your vehicle running with the keys in the ignition and unattended'. i smiled thinking that is the most ridiculous thing i had heard. she wasn't kidding. i was a little taken back by her statement that my only response was ' really? i have never heard of that before' and her response was 'yeah, so think about that next time'. no ticket....

so was it a bad day for her? it has to be! i am sure many of my tickets are given by cops with a chip on their shoulder. or that i am being setup by a friend. i always look for the hidden cam somewhere. always thinking 'is this for real?'.

people always tell me how they avoid getting tickets...teach me i want to learn!

tell me why you think one should get a $15 ticket for leaving your vehicle idling and unattended. or explain their reasoning for it!

i must say i am glad i didn't get the ticket...although the experience makes for a great conversation piece.

monday

damn itunes for windows makes it too easy to just buy music. i have bought two cds so far...on accident of course...too simple...now i can buy music any time on any day...wearing whatever i want. i still download mp3s, but lets face it that is a lot of trouble and a fat hassle. oh yeah and i guess it is illegal too...

friday

I've seen the end of the day come too soon
Not a lot to say, not a lot to do
You played the game, you owe nothing to yourself
Rest a day, for tomorrow you can't tell
You can't tell

thursday

still coming off a bad cold. sick for over a week. taking some cold medicines but it is still here...orange juice by the gallons...zinc...nothing works! now i am resorting to not eating, consuming an excess of coffee, and drinking alcohol heavily. i figure i can be a bad host for this virus and it will leave...i will let you know if this tactic works.

things are going fine otherwise. could be better, but then, that is the story of my life.

quit complaining.

heading back down to santa barbara on tuesday for a pearl jam concert. it is a benefit concert. all acoustic. should be fun. the tickets came to me from my cousin who lives down south and just happened to find out about the show and snatch some tickets before they sold old.

say hello to the weekend.

saturday

where is he, there he is, oh - there he is. right over there.

miss me?

no reason for the lapse of posts...just time flying by really. keeping busy and wondering why the clock seems to always read 3 o'clock when i just start realizing my mid day appointments. always having to re-shuffle time slots.

i should never let this happen again. it seems in my absence of posts california has a new governor, supermarkets are on strike, 3 san luis restaurants have closed...things fall apart when i am not looking...sorry about that.

i have also slipped up on reading books. way behind on my injection of fiction.
