i've been drifting along in the same stale shoes
loose ends tying a noose in the back of my mind
if you thought that you were making your way
to where the puzzles and pagans lay
i'll put it together - It's a strange invitation

when I wake up someone will sweep up my lazy bones
and we will rise in the cool of the evening
i remember the way that you smiled
and something is vacant when I think it's all beginning

you'll never be happy with what you acquire if you can't enjoy what you already have
my big sis decided to put a phat-ass pool in her backyard. sitting on the edge with my feet dangling into the water i thought for just a moment i was soaking up the sun at the hard rock in vegas. i hold up my empty glass, 'where is the pool waitress?' i shout.
this past week my dad turned 60. he said he didn't want anything, 'no god damn party either'...so my sister and i, as always, ignored his request and threw him a surprise party at the local brewery. quite a turn out and i cracked a smile when his face turned bright red upon his entrance. he was happy.

due to my cell phone mishap, i ventured out and purchased a new phone this month. a neat little toy. i forgot that there is no such thing as a simple cell phone (does anyone call them cell phones anymore? god i'm old), how's this for a category - phone/pda/datebook/gameboy/camera/chat/flashlight/
alarmclock/annoyinglittlebastard.
so to stay hip, i bought the motorola v400. a toy that consumes too much of my time. you see this phone has a camera. now i am that guy who loves cameras. always taking pictures much to the chagrin of others. i walk around like an asian tourist. cameras hanging off my person. the v400 takes decent photos, nothing great. oh, did i mention the phone has web access? this is where to nerd/annoying factor comes into play. you can't browse web sites like on your desktop computer, just view the small stuff, weather, scores, movie times, email - stuff i will never use. the cool thing about the web access - i can snap pictures and email them to someone, or upload them to a web site, instantly. no one is safe! ohh...you hate me...will you run when you see me next? (so far i have a lot of photos of peoples hands...they are very nice hands though) all i can say is keep on smiling! please direct hate mail to...
